Flight Training

Flight Training

We learn to fly not by being fearless, but by the daily practice of courage.

Ready to improve your skills, add a new rating, or complete a flight-review? We specialize in training tailored for each student, from those looking to start a new career, or the seasoned pilot looking to hone their technique. Let us help you achieve new heights in your aviation journey. Through and array of unique and skilled CFI/I’s, Moore Aviation offers the below flight training courses for pilots, in addition to as-needed recurrent training. Contact us today to pair you with a flight instructor and get flying!

Private Pilot License

The first step to becoming a pilot is to earn your Private Pilot License. No matter what your goal in aviation is, a Private Pilot License will allow you the ability to set off on flying adventures with family and friends!

Instrument Rating

An instrument rated pilot can fly by reference to the flight instruments in situations where navigation by line of sight is not possible. Earning your instrument rating would allow you the ability to take flight when weather conditions are less than favorable, keeping non-instrument rated pilots on the ground.

Commercial Pilot License

A Commercial Pilot License allows you to seek employment and get paid to fly!

Multi-Engine Training

Earning a multi-engine rating allows you to fly multi-engine aircraft.

CFI, CFII, and MEI Courses

With a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certification, you will shift from the left seat, as a student, into the right seat, as an instructor! To work for an airline, pilots need 1500 hours. As a CFI, you will be able to work towards earning those hours!

Flight-Reviews, New Ratings, IPCs

Complete your Bi-annual flight review, regain your instrument currency, or add a new High Power rating with one of our CFI/I’s. You do not need to have previously been a student, please contact us below to schedule now.

Flight Training Scheduling Process

If you have not been previously on-boarded, please visit us in person, or contact us below for more information. Once all new students have been on-boarded, you will be provided with a login to Flight Schedule Pro. Once an account is created, it is very easy to log on and view your upcoming reservations, schedule flights, view your account balance, etc.

Moore Aviation operates on a standing schedule, which offers our students three recurrent flight blocks a week. For example, if a student chooses to fly at 11:00am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, that same schedule would repeat weekly for the duration of the standing schedule. Our flight blocks are an hour and a half long, and the first block begins at 8:00am. We continue to fly in hour and a half increments, and our training concludes for the day at sunset. For example, the first block is from 8:00am-9:30am, then the next is 9:30am-11:00am, and so on. Please note that instructors get a half hour lunch break from 12:30pm-1:00pm.

We typically have three different standing schedules a year, and they reflect the local college’s semesters. We offer a spring standing schedule that operates from beginning of January to end of April, a summer standing schedule that operates from early May to late August, and finally a fall standing schedule that begins end of August and ends in early December.

We will have a few weeks throughout the year that the standing schedule does not cover. This is what we call an open schedule. For example, from beginning of December to middle of January is typically an open schedule, and it is first come, first serve. We always announce dates to schedule for the standing with plenty of notice.

They can be found on our website, as well as posted throughout our building. Any other questions on scheduling, please contact us.
