Discovery Flights are a great way for individuals to get a glimpse of life as a pilot. You’ll takeoff in the pilot’s seat from Beaver County Airport, alongside a Certified Flight Instructor. While in flight, you’ll have the opportunity to take the controls, learn basic maneuvers, fly over your home or even tour the city of Pittsburgh. Moore Aviation tailors each Discovery Flight so that everyone’s experience is unforgettable.

Moore Aviation offers individuals either a 30-minute Discovery Flight for $75.00, plus tax, or an hour long Discovery Flight for $140.00, plus tax. Some popular discovery flight options include…

Discovery Flight Options

Beginning maneuvers

Feel first-hand a take off, landing, and basic maneuvers with our CFI at the controls. If you hear the calling, you can leave with a log-book and your first recorded flight time!

Sightseeing

Take an hour to explore the local area and share the experience with a young or old aviator that may not be comfortable at the controls.

Tour city of Pittsburgh

Weather and air-traffic permitting, request a city tour to see the golden triangle from 2,500 feet or other local attractions.

Requirements

Arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled flight.

Bring your drivers license.

If you want to become a student, bring your birth certificate or passport, and a log book (or purchase one from us when you arrive).
