New Student Orientation First Flight Checklist

  • Issue, brief and have student sign Moore Aviation, Inc. Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs)
  • Introduce dispatch Procedures
    • Explain dispatch flight plan form
    • Explain aircraft binder
    • Explain binder coversheet
  • Familiarize student with Flight Schedule Pro (i.e., Online scheduling procedures, student account balances, etc.)
    • Explain Attendance Policy
    • Students must notify dispatch if they are unable to put money in account
      • Flights will have to be cancelled
      • Students must provide a date as to when funds will be available for deposit
  • Provide student with appropriate handouts
    • Aircraft checklist
    • Radio communications sheet
    • Weather briefing sheet
    • Weight and balance sheet
  • Confirm student has appropriate medical certificate and pilot/ student pilot certificates
  • Enroll in appropriate Part 141 pilot training course, if applicable
  • Provide student the option to purchase required flight training equipment (i.e., Logbook, E6B flight computer, chart plotter, headset, etc.)
