Deciding to get your private pilot’s license is an exciting time, and Moore Aviation is here to help you along every step of your training. When you begin our private pilot training course, we start with the basics, such as radio calls, taxing procedures, basic flying maneuvers. Once you have a good feel for the aircraft, we begin working towards your first big aviation milestone, your first solo! From there, we move on to more advanced maneuvers, such as different types of takeoff and landings, and cross country flying. We even introduce a small amount of instrument flying and night flying! Our average private pilot candidate completes our course with 60 hours of flight time, less than the national average! We are happy to report that we have a near perfect completion rate for our private pilot program.
Moore Aviation has been recognized as a 2025 AOPA Distinguished Flight School and 2026 AOPA Best Flight School Great Lakes Region, proudly representing the Great Lakes region two years in a row. This honor reflects our commitment to quality instruction, safety, and the exceptional community of students, instructors, and staff who make Moore Aviation what it is.
Thank you to everyone who continues to trust us with their flight training journey.
